Levels of Care

Level 1-Urgent Care:
Patients seeking urgent care typically request treatment only when they are experiencing discomfort, breakdown, or swelling. These patients do not request maintenance visits. When patients are experiencing dental pain immediate attention may be required. Our office is committed to treating current patients in pain within 24 hours.

Level 2-Reactive Care:
Patients seeking reactive care typically request treatment when they notice breakdown and request maintenance visits without consistency. These patients are mostly concerned with short-term dental needs and don’t consider dentistry a high priority. Disease prevention and oral health are not of much value to these patients.

Level 3-Self Care:
Patients seeking self care typically request more proactive dental treatment in order to avoid major breakdown. Also, these patients consistently follow the maintenance plan recommended to them based upon their individual needs. Aesthetics and function are of relative importance to these patients. Education on prevention and health are valued by these patients. A short-term plan for dental health is frequently in effect.

Level 4-Bioesthetic Care:
Patients seeking bioesthetic care typically request dental treatment to improve their health, function, or aesthetics. These patients strictly follow the maintenance plan recommended to them. They highly value oral health and strive to fulfill their role in achieving it. These patients are active in creating a long-term plan for their dental health.
